“All Creatures of Our God and King” #64
Invocation and the Lord's Prayer (seated—in unison)
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Prayer of Confession (seated—in unison)
So often, God of wholeness, we are a torn people. We set ourselves apart based on differences, distinctions, judgments and opinions. We tear ourselves from within as we strive for independence and unique individuality. We do not recognize our common longings for peace, for healing and deep meaning within life. Emerging from the heart of Christ, you come to us in reassuring love. The power of your Spirit blesses our living with hope and feeds us in joy. In the unity of that Spirit we draw together to sing and pray as your own dear renewed children. Refresh us now as we open who we are to who we may yet become. Amen.
Assurance of God's Love and Forgiveness
*Gloria Patri #513
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning,
is now and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
